**LIFESAVING AIRCRAFT

With search and rescue operations primarily in mind, the Martin Jetcraft, named one of 2010's top 50 inventions by Time Magazine, is already available!  The fan propelled light aircraft, which can be flown by a pilot or by remote control, can take off and land vertically in relatively confined spaces, and has 30 minutes flight capability at a speed of up to 74 kilometres per hour at an altitude of up to 1,000 metres. The jetpack, created by a New Zealand-based company Martin Aircraft  Company, is set to be priced at around $200,000 (€184,000)
