Today, we will look at "some  American curious news about food and drink".
Hoy, veremos "algunas noticias americanas curiosas sobre comida y bebida"

**FOR LUNCH BETTER A YOGHURT!
In Washington (USA), there is a yoghurt craze (locura) at the moment!  But if you are thinking of a sweet yoghurt, I must tell you that you are WRONG!
In Washington DC, yoghurt is now taken as a snack (aperitivo).  The name of this special yoghurt is "parfait" and it is usually associated with breakfast or lunch.
For breakfast you can have a "parfait yoghurt" with fruit (especially berries), cereals, honey and nuts.
For lunch, the option is:  "a parfait yoghurt" with cucumber, tomato, salmon and dill (eneldo) or all kind of ingredients that you can imagine.  You only have to ask for it!
If you visit Washington, you can go to "YOLA" (http://www.yoladc.com/)  if you want to  taste  these special yoghurts.

**FOOD AND TECNOLOGY
If you thought that tecnology and food were incompatible, I must tell you that you are WRONG again!
A celebrity chef called Tyler Florence tweets his favourite recipes, with pictures, to his followers  and let them choose the best.
A recent recipe winner was the rum-soaked layer cake (pastel empapado de ron) with coconut icing (con coco glaseado).

**A RESTAURANT IN DISNEYLAND, FLORIDA!
In Orlando, in Disneyland, there is a secret restaurant which is almost impossible to find.  It has a nine year waiting list!  It is a 5-star eatery (restaurante) and it is hidden in the Florida fun fair (parque de atracciones).
This special restaurant has 487 members who pay $9,500 fee (cuota) plus $3,175 a year to eat there!!!

** A STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL
If next spring you are in USA, in South Carolina, you can go to Fort Mill and share a massive outdoor celebration of strawberries (fresas).
You could see a strawberry recipe contest (concurso), strawberry picking (recogida), live music, fireworks and curiously, a pig race!
