Como todo no es Inglés en la vida, también hay textos, ejercicios y cositas para los que prefieran el idioma que se habla en París, le Français! Oh, la, la!
Para los que estéis estudiando Francés y queráis leer algo divertido, os aconsejo el libro LE PETIT NICOLAS, es una maravilla. Es muy ameno, gracioso y enseña muchas expresiones habladas que casi sin darnos cuenta, se van quedando en nuestro lenguaje y además como hay un montón de libros diferentes, podeís elegir el que más os guste.

VOCABULAIRE
- MONSIEUR: señor. En plural diremos: MESSIEURS.
- MADAME: señora. En plural: MESDAMES.
- ALORS: entonces. Este adverbio se usa mucho en francés, pero a veces en español no lo traducimos, sirve como para empezar frases al hablar.

El idioma Francés es muy diferente del Inglés y es más parecido al Español, ya que también deriva del latín . Hay muchas diferencias en pronunciación y escritura que os iré contando.
¡HAY QUE HABLAR IDIOMAS! En este mundo global en el que estamos todos CONECTADOS, la comunicación es MUY IMPORTANTE y siempre es muy satisfactorio poder entenderse con el resto del mundo ¿no creéis?

THE RIVER THAMES
The South Bank is a pedestrian area which runs along the Thames from London Bridge to Westminster Bridge. Here you'll find many attractions: Tower Bridge, a working drawbridge (puente levadizo funcionando), a replica of "The Golden Hinde" a 16th century ship with re-enactments (puestas en escena) of sword fights (duelos con espada) and art galleries such as the Tate Modern and the Hayward.
People who like dramatic events can witness a trial (ser testigo de un juicio) from the public galleries of the Old Bailey Criminal Court next to St Paul's Cathedral in The City.
MUSIC
London offers a big range of free concerts. On 10th of August a free festival perform Asian music, and Hyde Park holds the Klez Fest, a festival of Jewish music, on 17th of August.
Many London parks such as St James Park and Regents Park offer free jazz concerts on weekend afternoons.
Ideal for families is the Big Chill House at King's Cross on Sunday afternoons. Here DJ Wheelie Bag entertains the kids, and parents can enjoy a Sunday roast dinner. The entertainment is free, THE FOOD ISN'T.
There's also plenty of music at the Notting Hill Carnival, a celebration for the capital's Caribbean community. It takes place on 24th and 25th of August.

THE GRAMMAR CORNER.
To continue with MUCH and MANY, I suppose you have found out the answers but if not, I'm going to explain them now.
MUCH and MANY are quantifiers and their meaning in Spanish is: MUCHO/A MUCHOS/MUCHAS, so the theory that you usually study at school about countable and uncountable words, please, if you want to use them well, forget it!
You must only think of singular or plural names and write or say Much or Many depending on the word.
For example: Do you have much cheese in the fridge? Yes, I do.
There are many things to do today.
There is much time to study the lesson.
I haven't got many books to read this month.
Did you buy many clothes yesterday? Yes, a lot.
Now, please, do this exercise to practice.
Write in the blanks MUCH or MANY.
- There isn't ________ bread at home.
- We have studied ________ subjects this year.
- Lisa has got ______ cake to eat.
- Has Peter bought ______ coke? Yes, he has bought ________.

A TRAVELLER'S TALE
In the autumn of 1935, when I was a young man, I was travelling in the north-west of India. One evening, after hunting in the forest all day, I was returning alone to the place where I had put up my tent. It was getting dark, and I was walking along a narrow path. On my right was a wide river; on my left, a thick, dark forest.
Suddenly I saw two green eyes looking at me from among the trees. A man-eating tiger was getting ready to jump on me.
What could I do? Should I jump into the river and hope to save my life by swimming?
I looked to the right. In the river there was an immense crocodile waiting to welcome me with its mouth wide open.
I was so frightened that I shut my eyes. I heard branches moving as the tiger jumped. I opened my eyes
What do you think had happened?
The tiger had jumped right over me and was now in the jaws of the crocodile. That's a true story, beleive it or not!!

Presentación y texto en inglés
Buenos días mis queridos amigos.
Todos en algún momento de nuestra vida personal o profesional hemos dicho: ¡Tengo que aprender Inglés! Sin embargo, llevarlo a cabo no es tarea fácil porque aprender un idioma es "MUY DIFÍCIL" y por eso en muchos de los casos la gente se desmoraliza. La clave está en "aprenderlo bien" desde el principio. De forma sencilla y con una persona que conozca perfectamente el idioma propio y el extranjero.
Que nadie se engañe con que es mejor "un profesor nativo" porque muchas veces si no es un profesional de la enseñanza, será frustrante para el alumno.
Los profesores españoles titulados en lenguas extranejras os darán esa seguridad y conocimiento que se necesita para Aprender bien un idioma y ser capaz después de hablarlo con fluidez.
Los profesores "nativos" están muy bien, siempre y cuando sean profesionales de la enseñanza también, para practicar conversación y mejorar el acento.
A continuación os pongo un texto en inglés y unas preguntitas después para que practiquéis.
MAY DAY FESTIVITIES
Spring in England is something to be celebrated. Traditionally, parades take place on the Weekend of May Day (May 1st). An essential participant is a character called Jack in the Green, a two metre tall person, dressed a frame that is covered in foliage, so that he resembles a tree with legs. He leads a team of Morris dancers, a folk dance which is often laughed at, as grown men hop and skip around with bells attached to their legs,, waving handkerchiefs and knocking sticks together. A big festival is held in Hastings.
